Q – Will the medical aid pay for the External Breast Prostheses and Post-mastectomy bras?
A – Successful payments of claims will depend on which plan you are on and the funds available.
External Breast Prostheses may be paid from the “Oncology” fund while
post-mastectomy bras may be paid from “Savings”.
Q – What is required from the provider?
A – The medical aid will only accept a claim if:
– The Provider has a practice number.
– The products you purchase have a Nappi code.
– The ICD10 code appears on the claim
– Most medical aids also requires a doctor’s motivational letter

Q – How long will the External Breast Prostheses last for?
A – All external Breast Prostheses supplied by Comfit
have a two year guarantee.
This is important because most medical aids provide
for external Breast Prostheses every two years.
